GRQC Day of Quality - October 3, 2019

This is the sixth year that the Greater Rochester Quality Council will provide free Lean Six Sigma Green and Black Belts to partner with local organizations to improve their processes. Modeled after the United Way's Day of Caring, these professionals volunteer an entire day to help an organization use quality tools and techniques to solve an identified process problem and immediately implement the solution.

The Day of Quality culminates in a celebration on October 24, 2019 when each joint team reports on their success and shares the learnings and benefits of their day together.

Eligible Organizations

Our purpose is to stimulate and foster excellence, through the sharing of resources, learning and expertise in quality principles and practices in local organizations. We are eager to partner with organizations in the following sectors:

  • Not for Profit
  • Small Business (less than 100 employees)
  • Education
  • Health Care
  • Government

Again, how do we apply to participate in Day of Quality?

Help to Select a Project

Confused about how to choose a process to be improved? A special class for potential participants is being offered by Rochester Institute of Technology’s Center for Quality and Applied Statistics on July 18, 2019 from 8:30 to Noon. The workshop will cover techniques for choosing and scoping a process, identification of process issues, a brief introduction to quality tools, and assistance with the components of the submission mail note.

Registration for the half-day class, Introduction to Process Improvement, may be completed at:
